5G Basketball wasn't launched. It was built — team by team, parent by parent, kid by kid.
One gym. Six seasons. Every job done with love.
Years ago, First Baptist Church Tampa opened its gym to a children's basketball league. What grew there was built by hand — every practice plan, every game-day script, every devotional, written for this gym and these kids, brick by brick, season by season. Coach Teddy Dupay built the system; a family of volunteers, parents, and church members brings it to life every single week, right down to serving the Best Hot Dogs in the State after the games.
Six seasons later, that league is 5G Basketball: a Bible-based league where children learn Glory, Gospel, Grace, Gratitude, and Grit — and where the whole gym stands together on the court every game day for the devotional.
At 5G, FUN is number one, and the goal is simple: get a little better every day.

5G is hosted at First Baptist Church Tampa — 302 W. Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33606. Their mission is “Connecting People to a Thriving Life in Christ”; 5G carries it to the children: “Connecting Children to a Thriving Life in Christ.”
